Acupuncture can play a vital role in helping the growing number of cancer survivors adjust to life after receiving cancer treatments, including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. This includes managing physical and emotional consequences and establishing the ‘new normal’ that is the legacy of cancer.
This peer-reviewed, evidence-based book helps practitioners of acupuncture understand the challenges survivors face after cancer treatment. It explores biomedical, East Asian medicine, and clinical perspectives of cancer survivorship, as well as the acupuncture research conducted in this field. Case studies richly illustrate the survivor experience.
